Kind words from clients

I really appreciate Chattel House Books efforts to promote Barbadian authors. Your company is doing an amasing job at providing exposure for local authors. For example, the provision of "The Mid-Morning Mix", now "The Mix", interview opportunity for Barbadian authors on the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation network (CBC).

Other bookstores that I have approached in the past have not assisted me with my book to the level of Chattel House Books.

As an author, I did not know how to market my book. I just wrote it and then did not know what to do next. I often jump into projects that I am excited about and then it is a challenge to figure out the next step. I guess I am crazy. Chattel House Books provides a solution for this challenge of mine.

It is a very good idea to focus on the niche market of Barbadian authors. You all are doing a fantastic job. Thanks so much!

The management and staff of Chattel House Books have been utterly phenomenal! Self-publishing my first graphic novel, Bridgeland Volume One, has not been without its challenges. Fortunately, Chattel House Books has not been one of them, as a bookstore dedicated to providing a world-class digital and physically bookstore truly committed to Barbadian and Caribbean authors. This alone has been hugely beneficial.

It would be remiss of me not to mention the hard-working, creative, and patient marketing team who put a significant amount of effort and time in helping authors ensure that events like book launches and signing go smoothly.

Finally, the services, such as e-book conversion really help expand the audience for one's books and embraces present technologies like e-readers. My sincere thanks and deepest appreciation goes out to Beverly Smith-Hinkson and the entire team: Erica, Christina, Jason, Jenifer, Russell and everyone at Chattel House Books!

Marc R. D. Gibson - Author of the graphic novel Bridgeland Volume One

Chattel House Books is to be congratulated on energising the whole process of buying and reading books again ... we've drifted into a semi-literate society where texting and glimpsing newspaper headlines passes for literacy, and Chattel House Books is leading a really important effort to bring the joys of reading books back into people's lives ... Well done!

Chattel House Books is an excellent addition to Barbados book shops. The big news is that it absolutely and wholeheartedly welcomes local authors and is dedicated to the promotion of their work. Its reach out to local authors is unprecedented in Barbados. I wish them much success. After all, their success is our success.
